Week of September 12, 2011
11th Academic English
This week we will continue our study of Native American Literature and will begin a study of Early American Explorers/Settlers Narratives.  On Monday we will read and discuss three Native American selections, found on pp. 16-23 of your literature anthology.  Tuesday and Wednesday you will work on a writing prompt asking you to develop your own Creation Story.  This prompt is due on Friday.  On Thursday and into Friday we will begin to read and discuss Explorer/Settlers narratives, beginning on p. 62 in your literature anthology.

12th Academic English
On Monday we will read and discuss three Anglo-Saxon exile poems found on pp. 17-27 of your literature anthology.  Tuesday you will begin work on a writing prompt asking you to develop an essay on a time when you felt exiled.  This prompt is due on Friday.  Wednesday you will take a test on notes and literature to date.  Thursday and into Friday we will begin to study the epic poem Beowulf.
