Week of March 26, 2018
11th Academic English
This week we will continue viewing a film adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet.  Make sure you take good notes during the film so you can actively participate in class discussion.  We will check vocabulary list #13 this week in preparation for a quiz on Tuesday, April 3rd.

12th Academic English
This week we will be looking at literary selections from the British Romantic Period.  Make sure you have good notes on each of the pieces we study in class along with good notes from the power point presentation on the Romantic Age.  We will check vocabulary list #13 this week in preparation for a quiz on Tuesday, April 3rd.

SAT Prep
This week you will continue work on units 16 through 20 in the Editing and Revising workbook.  Later in the week we will look at an on-line summary of your performance on the PSAT you took last fall.  This will help you focus your preparations for the SAT exam

Week of March 12, 2018
**Snow Days continued to interrupt our plans!
11th Academic English
This week we will finish our analysis of Shakespeare's Hamlet.  After we finish our work with Act V, you will take a quiz on that act then will take a test on the entire play.  On Friday you will take vocabulary quiz #12 and will turn in reading response 12.

12th Academic English
We are coming to the finish line with the research writing project.  You will use class time and home time to complete your position paper.  Details matter greatly, so make sure you are precisely following MLA format.  Frequently check the MLA Handbook.  Your completed work, including an updated works cited page, is due at the start of the class period on Thursday.  On Friday you will take vocabulary quiz #12 and will begin work with vocabulary list #13.

SAT Prep
This week we will take a look at Chapters 23 through 25 in the Premier Workbook.  These chapters focus on grammar, revising and editing, so this information will not be new to you.  Later in the week you will work on units 16 through 20 in the Editing and Revising workbook.
