Week of November 28, 2011
11th Academic English
This week we will continue our work on Sentence Analysis. You will be given two worksheets to help you practice your Sentence Analysis skills in preparation for a test next week. On Thursday, you will take Vocabulary Quiz #6 and will work on Vocabulary List #7. Don't forget that Newsweek summary #2 is due on Thursday also! Early next week we will discuss Part II of O Pioneers! and will review your answers to the Part II Study Guide in preparation for a quiz. Make sure you are keeping up with your reading!!

This week we will continue our study of Shakespeare's MacBeth. On Tuesday we will finish working with Act I. Make sure your Act I Study Guide is complete. Wednesday we will take a quiz on Act I and begin working with Act II and its Study Guide. On Thursday, youi will take Vocabulary Quiz #6 and will work on Vocabulary List #7. Don't forget that Newsweek summary #2 is due on Thursday also! Friday we will continue our work on Act II of MacBeth!

11th Academic English
This week we will dive into Sentence Analysis. We will review the Parts of Speech and the Parts of the Sentence. We will work together on exercises from the grammar text, pp. 4-26 and pp. 32-44. All of this is review work on grammar information you've been practicing since 4th grade, so I'm sure we'll be in good shape! On Tuesday you'll take a quiz on the Part I study guide for O Pioneers! Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Holiday!

This week we will begin our analysis of Shakespeare's tragedy, MacBeth. You will work on the Act I study guide that was given to you on Friday. We'll read aloud and discuss Act I together. Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Holiday!

This week we will begin our study of Willa Cather's novel, O Pioneers! and will also start a grammar review. On Tuesdsay you will receive a copy of the novel and the Part One study guide. You will be given some class time to work on this study guide and will complete the guide on your own time. We will also begin a review of the Parts of Speech and the Parts of the Sentence. On Thursday you will take Vocabulary Quiz 5 and will hand in a Newsweek summary. Thanks for being so cooperative during my recent absence from school.

This week we will wrap up our study of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. We will review all information in preparation for a test on this material at the end of the week. On Thursday you will take Vocabulary Quiz #5 and will hand in Newsweek summary #1. Thanks for being so cooperative during my recent absence from school.
