Week of March 25, 2019
**Get your tickets for NS Theatre Arts' production of West Side Story!  See any cast member for tickets.
11th Academic English
This week we will finish viewing Hamlet.  Make sure you are ready to discuss the similarities and the differences you noticed between the film version of this play and the written version we studied in class.  Later in the week we will discuss America's Jazz Age and its influence on American literature from that period.

12th Academic/Honors English
This week we will continue our study of British literature from the Romantic Period.  We will review your work with "Lines Composed A Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey" and "The Prelude,"  then will look at some odes from the period.  Finally, we will look at a selection from the novel, Frankenstein and will begin work with "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner."

SAT Prep
This is the final week of our time together.  Make sure you turn in any work from chapters you were permitted to redo.  All work must be turned in to me no later than Friday morning.

Week of March 11, 2019
11th Academic English
This week we will finish our study of Shakespeare's Hamlet.  On Tuesday and Wednesday we will read together and discuss Act V of this tragedy.  On Thursday you will take the Act V quiz and prepare for the final test on this play.  The final test will be given on Friday.

12th Academic English
On Tuesday you will turn in your Works Cited page and will take vocabulary quiz #12.  The rest of the week will be used to prepare the final draft of your research project.  Final drafts are due on Monday, March 18th.

12th Honors English
This week we will finish our study of Shakespeare's MacBeth.  On Monday you will take the Act IV quiz.  On Tuesday, you will take vocabulary quiz #12 rescheduled from last Friday.  Wednesday and Thursday we will read together and discuss Act V of this play.  On Friday you will take the Act V quiz, will work on the second essay assignment for this play, and will prepare for the final test on this unit, planned for Monday, March 18th.

SAT Prep
Continue to work on the required chapters in your SAT Premier workbook.

Week of March 4, 2019
**Winter has had its way with our third quarter plans!  All classes are working to stay on track.

11th Academic English
This week we will continue our work with Shakespeare's Hamlet.  We will discuss Act IV and will take a quiz on the Act IV study guide.  On Friday you will take vocabulary quiz #12, will turn in reading response #12 and will work on vocabulary list #13.

12th Academic English
This week we are nearing the end of our research writing project.  On Monday and Tuesday you will work on a map to help you visually organize your writing.  Wednesday you will begin writing your position paper.  On Friday you will take vocabulary quiz #12.  On Monday of next week you will turn in your Works Cited page.

12th Honors English
This week we will continue our work with Shakespeare's MacBeth.  We will discuss Act IV and will take a quiz on the Act Iv study guide.  On Wednesday you will turn in your Third Murderer essay.  Make sure you are following the format given to you for this assignment.  On Friday you will take vocabulary quiz #12 and will work on vocabulary list #13.

SAT Prep
Continue to work on the required chapters from the SAT Premier Workbook.  Remember, any chapter you fail can be redone and resubmitted for an improved score.  You must finish all required chapters before you can begin Practice Test #1.
