This is it, guys and girls, the final week of school and the final week of your Junior year in high school. Soon you'll be SENIORS!! Make sure you are well-prepared for your final exam. Review the study guides, notes and worksheets to prepare for this test. Make sure you have both your literature anthology and your grammar book ready to hand in on the day of your final exam.

11th Academic English
This week we'll wrap up our look at Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. On Monday you'll take the final test on this novel, then we'll watch the film version of the book. When we finish the film, we'll review for your final exam. Soon, if all goes well, you'll be SENIORS!!!

Use the study guides, the final review sheet, notes, text and the essay reviews to get yourself ready for the test. Have your literature anthology ready to hand in on the day of your final exam.

This week we'll finish our work with Steinbeck's novel, Of Mice and Men. On Monday you will take the quiz for the first study guide. On Thursday, you will take the quiz for the second study guide. On Friday you will take the final test for this novel. We're in the home stretch of your junior year, so make sure you stay on task and complete everything you need to do!

On Monday and Tuesday we'll discuss "The Rocking Horse Winner" and "A Shocking Accident." Wednesday you'll take a test on the Modern and Postmodern periods, then begin reviewing for your Final Exam. Don't forget that your Character Analysis Project is due on Thursday.

On Monday we'll begin work with John Steinbeck's novel, Of Mice and Men. You will have some class time to begin reading this novel and to work on the study guide for the novel. On Thursday of this week you'll take Vocabulary Quiz #17--the last vocabulary quiz for the school year!! You'll also hand in Summary #15 on Thursday. On Friday you will take a quiz on the first study guide for Of Mice and Men.

This week we'll continue our look at British literature from the Modern and Postmodern eras. You'll outline biographical information about both D.H. Lawrence and Graham Greene, found on p. 1174 in the literature anthology. We'll read together and discuss "The Rocking Horse Winner," p. 1176+ and "A Shocking Accident," p. 1190+. On Thursday you will take the last vocabulary quiz of your Academic English career, Vocabulary Quiz #17!! Can Graduation be far away if you are on the last vocabulary quiz?!?!? Don't forget to continue work on the Character Analysis project, due on Thursday, May 16th. If you finish the project early, please hand it in.
