Week of September 7, 2015
11th Academic English
This week we will begin work with sentence analysis.  Using the procedures shown to you in class, you will analyze sentences from both teacher worksheets and text exercises.  Early next week we will check Vocabulary List #1 and its review sheet, so please make sure you have those completed.

12th Academic English
This week we will look at Anglo-Saxon exile poetry.  We will read and discuss three selections in class, noting how the poems reveal elements of Anglo-Saxon culture and mores as well as how the poems employ several literary devices.  Later this week you will begin work on a writing prompt based on this poetry.  Early next week we will check Vocabulary List #1 and its review sheet, so please make sure you have those completed.

Theatre Production I
This week we will continue our look at the history of American Musical Theatre and Broadway.  We'll view the third installment of "Broadway: The American Musical".  You will also begin working on the first project for this course by researching theatre jobs.
