Week of November 3, 2014
11th Academic English
This week we will continue our look at very early American literature.  We will begin reading explorers' and settlers' personal narratives about the new world.  You'll also continue work on your Origin Myth writing which is due on Friday.  On Thursday, you will take vocabulary quiz #5, will turn in reading response #5, and will begin work with vocabulary list #6

12th Academic English
This week we will begin our study of England and British literature during Queen Elizabeth's reign.  On Monday, you will take notes during a power point presentation on "The English Renaissance."  Tuesday and through the rest of the week we will study culture's influence on the literature of the period as seen through Shakespeare's The Tragedy of MacBeth.  You will begin work on Act I of this classic.  On Thursday, you will take vocabulary quiz #5, will turn in reading response #5, and will begin work with vocabulary list #6.
