Week of September 6, 2010

12th Academic English
This week we will continue our studies of early Anglo-Saxon culture and poetry. On Tuesday, you will take notes during a power point presentation on "From Legend to History." Wednesday you will meet with Mrs. Minahan to set up your wiki and blog sites for your graduation projects. On Thursday you will take Vocabulary Quiz #1 and will work on List #2. Remember to turn in Newsweek Summary 1 on Thursday. Friday we will work together on "The Seafarer," p.17 and "The Wanderer," p. 19, discussing the elements of exile poetry found in each.

11th Academic English
On Tuesday, you will take notes during a power point presentation on "Beginnings to 1750." On Wednesday, we will begin our studies of Native American Origin/Creation stories by reading and outlining "The Earth on Turtle's Back," p. 16 and "When Grizzlies Walked Upright,"p. 19. On Thursday, you will take Vocabulary Quiz #1 and will work on list #2. Remember to turn in Newsweek Summary 1 on Thursday. Friday we will continue our work with Native American literature.
